Argassi...Entertainment near beautiful beaches!

Argasi beach

Argassi is a busy resort located in the north-eastern part of Zakynthos island. It's a place preferred by Greek visitors for its variety of restaurants and night bars.

Another advantage of summering in Argassi is the fact that you are very close to the beautiful beaches of Vasilikos village: Porto Zoro, Porto Azzurro, Banana and Saint Nikolaos. Banana beach is the biggest beach on the island while Saint Nikolaos beach has maybe the best beach bar in Zante (Ammos beach bar).

On the mountain of Skopos, around 3-4km from Argassi center, the monastery of Panagia Skopiotissa is situated. The monastery was destroyed by the devastating earthquake in 1521. In 1534 it was given to a noble family of the island who reconstructed it. The temple has been declared as an archaeological and historical place. The view over the south-eastern beaches of Zakynthos is stunning. Inside the church you will find woodwork and precious utensils, frescoes and a temple made of marble.

For those interested in local art we would suggest a visit to the local pottery lab. Handmade decorative clay pots and jewellery in special shapes are displayed. It is also possible to attend pottery lessons.

As mentioned before, Argassi is a place with a variety in restaurants and cafe-bars. The vintage atmosphere of "Portokali" restaurant along with the tasteful meals of international cuisine put it in the top or our list. Other restaurants we urge you to explore are the "Peppermint" (Greek cuisine and pasta) and the "Agnanti" restaurant (beautiful view, Greek cuisine).

Nightlife in Argassi is also vivid. There are many cafe-bars in which you can enjoy your coffee or a cocktail but there are also places to chill out at night or dance until the morning light. Indicatively we mention  Fuego del mar (nice view, tasty cocktails) and Barrage Club (dance club, often hosts famous DJs).
